Blackheath Choir
The friendly choir which enjoys achieving high standards
Members are expected to be able to read music but need not  be expert sight-readers.  There are no formal auditions but the Music Director gives new members an informal vocal assessment, and is always willing to offer advice on matters of vocal technique.
The choir is self-funding, with income from members’ subscriptions and ticket sales.
Bursaries – the choir offers up to four bursaries per year (one in each voice part) to singers aged under 25. The recipients receive free membership and their own copies of the year’s music.
How to join – either give the Membership Secretary a call or just turn up at a Tuesday evening rehearsal during term.  The choir meets  during school terms, from 7.30 – 9.30 pm in the Kingswood Hall, Kingswood Place, London SE13.
